Work due next week

Dear Students,

You have a reading response due on Sunday, to be posted to the blog by 8pm. Follow the regular rules for writing a reading response. There are no special instructions for this one.

Make sure that you have read most of Outside the Bones by Monday and all of it by Wednesday. The author of the book, Lyn Di Iorio, will be visiting class to discuss the text with us on Wednesday. On Monday we will discuss how we will conduct the conversation with her during her visit. Everyone will be required to participate so it is crucial you finish the book by Wednesday!

EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENT:
If you've liked Outside the Bones and have some thoughts about it that you'd be comfortable sharing online, post a review to Amazon.com. It doesn't have to be lengthy---a minimum of 3 sentences. Just make sure that you're not simply saying "this book is great! I loved it!" Rather, include some observations that are specific to your experience of reading the book. Think about how you related to it, what you liked about the author's style, what you learned from the narrative, etc. Please complete the extra credit assignment by October 6th.
